“Shelter” / “Me faz abrigo” is a piece about finding our safe-hiding spots through caos. Even when taking unknown paths, the colours and familiar shapes of my art guide me. This is a vibrant, spontaneous and colourful 100×100cm painting, inspired by the beautiful streets, the carnival and the amazing memories that I have from my youth time in the old town of Recife, Brazil.

This is an original painting made with acrylic and oil pastels, on a 100×100cm canvas, including high quality wooden frame.

“Laranja” came to me spontaneously, on a day where the movements were more important to me than colours or how the finished painting would look like. I think I had disconnected from myself, but slowly see here many tiny little paths on how to get back, they are all represented on the waves and movement of this piece.

This is an original painting made with acrylic and oil pastels, on a 45×60cm paper, and framed with black wooden frame and high quality thick glass.

My art is where tropical inspiration meets abstract expression.

Hi, I’m Cami Albuquerque. I’m a Brazilian abstract artist based in Berlin. Tropical and bright colours, summer vibes and my cultural roots is what inspires my art.

My pieces are a direct translation of this culture - it manifests in abstract landscapes, all inspired by the warmth of summer, the Brazilian welcoming and friendly way of living. My work invites you to feel the rhythm and joy of these influences, between the struggles of migrating and the longing to return.
